Saving the World!

Gas prices have been pretty high recently so in an effort to save some money, and cut down on my carbon footprint (possibly), I've been taking public transport (riding the MAX and bus) and walking. It takes me approximately 25 minutes to walk two miles. How do I know this? Instead of waiting for the bus (which would have arrived in 17 minutes) I decided that I would try walking to work from the MAX station. I had taken the bus yesterday and it didn't seem to be that far so I thought it would be a pretty quick walk. I didn't realize it was two miles away...

Microsoft apparently started the i'm Initiative where they will make a donation to a charity for every email or message that you send from Hotmail or Windows Live Messenger. So far I've chosen UNICEF, but I'll probably switch it every so often as there are a few causes that I want to help out with.
